Shiloh Splash Park - Part II

Taking a break with some Skittles (Noah's fave)
I LOVE this picture. Noah is looking at the skittle oh so adoringly while Ava's little lips are puckered up wishing Noah would share his sweet treat.

I love that Ava will wear sunglasses. I could never get Noah to keep anything on at this age.

Shiloh Splash Park

Thursday afternoon we headed over to the Shiloh Splash Park in Brandon. The kids had so much fun and we really enjoyed watching them play. The weather was perfect and the clouds were beautiful.

It took Ava about an hour before she would go down the frog slide but as soon as she did there was no stopping her! She was able to climb the 4 steps and go down the slide all by herself! What a big girl. We had to stand close by to prevent injuries though because she was walking/climbing/sliding sooo fast! She literally went down this thing probably 50 times or more.

First Date???

What do you think?

We were trying to round the kids up to head inside after playing with neighbors one night but Noah and Vienne had other plans. One minute we were talking and when we looked up we saw this! The kids had walked away from us to sit at the Dillard's garage door with Noah wearing sunglasses and Vienne wearing his bicycle helmet! I went to grab the camera and we all started laughing a little so they got mad and walked to Larry's garage door across the street to carry on their conversation in peace, I guess. And yes, little sister Ava tagged along for every second of it... but they didn't seem to mind. Noah said he wants to marry Vienne one day- we'll see!

Memorial Day Cookout

We headed over to the Sumralls for an evening cookout on Memorial Day. After stuffing our stomachs we headed outside for some entertainment from the kids. They all had a blast playing on the slip-n-slide and blowing bubbles.

Slip sliding Noah!

Lily coming through! (catch the excitement on Cade's face)

Who knows?

Ava did not participate in the slip-n-slide action

Sunday Cuties

I love this pretty linen dress on Ava. She looked so dainty.

The Latest Beauty Treatment

Have you heard about the latest beauty treatment?

Ava knows all about it.

It's a yogurt bath.
Who knew a full body rub in plain vanilla yogurt could give you such a glow?

Surprise Visit

Saturday, Crystal & her girls stopped by for a brief visit while they were in town. We got to see and hold tiny baby Adolyn. Noah brought out a couple of shoe boxes and got Ava's doll pillow and blanket to put in them and kept asking if we could put the baby in there. She is so tiny she definitely could have fit, but Noah settled for holding her briefly instead. Ava kept saying, "baby, baby" over and over- I don't know if she thought she was a baby doll or what. Anna Jaymes seems to be adjusting to the big sister role rather well. These are the best pictures we got of them together below. It's rather hard to get a 4 day old, 19 & 20 month old to cooperate at the same time. It was great to see you Crystal & Mrs. Bev!

Splish Splash

Went to a splash pad today and the kids had a blast.

This was about as close to the water as Ava got

Even baby Henry got wet and loved it!

Maybe Ava will prefer to read in the sun like her Momma

20 Months

These monthly pictures seem to be sneaking up on me more and more each month. I can't believe in 4 short months that Ava will be two. She is starting to look a little different to me; a little older, I guess, less like a baby. Her hair has gotten longer and she is definitely showing more personality. "Mine" is becoming a word used increasingly often. She is still picking up new words everyday. She calls a movie a "moo-moo" or "show" and still calls her binky a "me". Her tan skin is already getting darker in the sun no matter how much sunscreen I use. I wonder if her hair will get blonder too. She is still as snugly and sweet as ever.

Welcome Baby Adolyn!

My best friend since the 5th grade had her 2nd baby girl on Tuesday May 19th. Adolyn Dawn Jolley was born at 4:27pm weighing in at 7 pounds and 19 inches. I got to visit them very briefly today but forgot to take a picture so I "borrowed" this one! Adolyn is very tiny! It is hard to remember ever having a baby that small. Crystal I am so excited for you as you begin this time as a family of four! Anna Jaymes will be a great bis sister!

More Handprint Ideas

We gave this plate to Mimi for Mother's Day. Her first reaction was a look of shock/surprise and she timidly asked "Is there another one on the way?" Of course there is not- I just thought the plate would look more balanced with 3 handprints instead of 1 so we put Noah's in the middle and used both of Ava's for the sides. I thought it turned out really super cute.

Handprint Ideas

Just wanted a collection of artwork Noah has done at preschool using his hand/fingerprint so maybe I can recreate some with Ava when she is a little older. Aren't these such cute ideas? I think I am going to frame the Little Red Hen. And I especially love the rooster at the bottom.
