Birthday Bash with Chuck E.

We had one last celebration for Noah since no birthday is complete without friends and games. We met at Chuck E. Cheese for a party with a few new friends we met at church. The kids had a great time and Noah loved every minute of it.

Here's the Robot cake Noah and I made (very homemade looking, I know, but Noah enjoyed decorating it)
Intently playing Arctic Thunder
Ava was not so sure about Chuck E. Cheese
Sweet Sisters

Even Daddy liked the games
Riding the Monster Truck
Ava rode this ride MULTIPLE times! In fact, I don't know that she used her tokens for anything else!

Cupcake Party at Preschool

Tuesday the 26th was Noah's real birthday, so we took cupcakes to school to celebrate. Noah decided he wanted a robot theme this year, so that is what we did.

Here's my helper mixing the batter for the cupcakes
I made cupcake toppers again like I did for Ava's birthday.
I think they turned out pretty cute, huh?
Here's the birthday boy at school eating his birthday snack! I also brought nuts & bolts (cheerios, chex cereal, pretzel rods and m&m's) in cute robot ziplock bags but forgot to take a picture of them.

Let the Celebrations Begin...

After a birthday trip to New Orleans on Saturday, we met our family for lunch after church to celebrate Noah's 5th birthday with them. This is the first birthday we have all lived so close! Mimi made Noah a delicious cake topped with his favorite- a train! It looked great and tasted even better.

Isn't this the most handsome little man you've ever seen?

Make a wish!

Miss Ava really enjoyed the cake!

I love you Noah Harrison more than you will EVER know, and I am so proud of you!
Happy 5th Birthday to my baby!

After the birthday lunch, Noah and Ava were treated by Nonnie and Pop to go see the Lipizzaner Stallions! Nonnie said that Ava really liked the show better than Noah though!

Thanks to all our family for making this such a special day!

Storyland

Adjacent to the Botanical Gardens in New Orleans City Park, you will find Storyland, a charming fairytale playground. We had a great time and look forward to sharing more of the movies and stories depicted here with the kids when they are a little older.

Noah, Ava and Nathan with Humpty Dumpty

Ava in Alice in Wonderland's house

Noah in the mouth of a whale out of Pinocchio

Princess Ava in Cinderella's Pumpkin Carriage

Noah loved this slide. It was very fast!

I think this picture is pretty cool since Noah is the only thing in focus.

Quick! There's a fire! Let's put it out! Help!

Drive faster firefighter Ava! We've got to get there quick!

Ava Bayba and the Mirror House

Ava and I had quite a bit of time to play while Noah was engrossed in the trains. Just thought these were a few cute pictures of her.
Peek a boo!

As we were leaving the Botanical Gardens, we saw this interesting mirror house and had to take a look. This picture was actually a little difficult to get but I thought it looked neat.

Train Garden

Saturday we took the kids to New Orleans to the City Park to start celebrating Noah's upcoming birthday. The train garden is located in the Botanical Gardens which I would love to visit again once everything starts blooming. The trains were located outside and there was no one else there but us. Of course, Noah loved it. He was so excited and had so many questions for the volunteer running the trains. We probably spent well over an hour just in this one area.

Tea Time

The Preparation

Almost ready! Do you like my chef's hat & apron, mommy?

The invited guests included Bear bear, Pinky bunny, Deda (Dora), Boots, Diego, the brown bear that doesn't have a name, and Harry (the blue bear).

Do want some more tea?
Thought you might enjoy knowing that Ava whispers "tteeeeaaaa" when she pours the tea from the pot to the cup.

Hope you can join us at our next tea party!
