Blissfully Domestic

So tonight I have discovered something else to take up my internet time : Blissfully Domestic. They describe themselves as "The online magazine devoted to real life. We are 100% written and managed by real women; women who write as we bounce babies on our knees, women who spend lots of time in the carpool line, women who need coffee and women who are tired of traditional magazines written by 23 year olds fresh out of college."

Also to be noted is The Worthington Wire. "Worthington Wire is a constantly updated best of the web portal with everything you need to stay in the know. Why search all over the web for the buzz of the day? It is all on Worthy Wire!"

After searching both sites briefly, I think I will definitely check back daily to see what's new. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Nathan celebrated his 31st birthday on Sunday. Before he went in to work Saturday night, we had a nice dinner of steak and twice baked potatoes with Mimi and Nona while they were still in town. Nathan requested a chocolate chip cookie cake- I did try to decorate it but I couldn't find my coupler so it ended up being plain- which is fine I guess because Nathan doesn't like icing anyway. Sunday morning when he got home from work we had a nice big breakfast and after he woke up that afternoon we opened presents. We had a friend come babysit Sunday night so we could go to dinner and a movie ALONE! It was so nice. We started talking as soon as we pulled out of the driveway and never stopped. We had dinner at Biaggi's on the patio overlooking the fountains. The weather was perfect and the food was very yummy. We went to see State of Play which was pretty good. We have decided that we definitely need a date night more often!

Happy Birthday Nathan! I love you more with each passing year and could not begin to imagine my life without you! You are a wonderful husband and a great father!

Nathan needed a little help to blow out ALL those candles! :)

Down on the Farm

The 3 year old classes at Noah's school had their program- Down on the Farm- last Friday. It was so precious and Noah sang so good on every song. Old McDonald had a Band, B-I-N-G-O, and This Little Light of Mine were just a few of the songs they sang.

After the program in Noah's classroom- he was hugging us so tight around the neck!

19 Months

Ava is really in full toddler mode now. She runs, laughs, babbles, and is saying new words everyday. It is hilarious to listen to her "talk" on the phone. She likes to "sing" Rock a bye Baby while she rocks her babies. She loves to wear a bow in her hair and sometimes that is the first thing she will ask for in the morning when she wakes up. We are loving the crib tent as it has solved all of our sleeping difficulties. She is really into bugs -even little teeny tiny ones- I guess she learned it from Noah because otherwise she is as girly as they come. Oh and this sweet snugly darling absolutely LOVES and adores her daddy. I have a feeling it is quite mutual. :)

It's Getting Warmer...

...and that means we can start doing fun things like this! We were watering the plants the other afternoon and Noah turned the hose into a makeshift sprinkler! He had the most fun. We have tried to get him to play in sprinklers in the past but would never do it. I guess he's ready now!

Beach Park in Pascagoula

Just some fun shots of the kids at Beach Park. Nona came out to play too.

Nathan was really giving these boys a spin. I bet he wanted to jump on too.

Motorcycle Mama

Just thought this was a great picture of Mimi with Noah & Ava.

Mimi & Grandpa rode over to Dauphin Island on the Honda. As soon as he saw them, Noah said "Motorcycles are dangerous, you know". I guess we've trained him well. :)

Fort Gaines

I finally got my camera back so I am updating some pictures taken during Noah's spring break in March. These were taken at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. We toured through pretty quick since the skies were threatening rain the whole time. We did get to see a blacksmith demonstration which was really neat. He even made Noah a nail with a smiley face on the head.

Piggies & Eagles

Ava's modeling her new corker bows she received from Nonnie at Easter. Aren't they adorable? Her daddy sure loves to see her in pigtails.

Here's my boys sporting their North Texas shirts and doing the "caw" of the Mean Green Eagle. (UNT is where Nathan went to college in Denton, TX)

Arts & Crafts

Our 9 year old neighbor drew our family in the road with chalk. She even included Sadie, and although you may not see it, Nathan's shirt says #1 Dad. He was pretty impressed with that.

In an attempt to sale our house, I am taking down Noah's artwork that we have taped up on most of the doors. I do realize that prospective buyers want to see the actual house and that they won't appreciate his artwork the way we do.

I am always so impressed with the artwork Noah brings home from school. I think I have only received a crayon covered coloring page once. The turtle's head was attached to a straw so you could pull his head in. How cute is that?

Easter Sillies

This is it! I promise no more Easter pics this year!
We had to take pictures on the pink couch this year to compare them to Easter pics from last year. If you look at the pictures on the right side of my blog- you will see an Easter one from last year. I can't believe how much they've grown!

Noah loving on Ava and she is eating it up!

Mom & me

Thanks for a great weekend Mimi and Grandpa! The kids had a blast, the food was delicious, and we enjoyed spending time with you!

Easter Best

After a great service Sunday morning we headed back Mimi's for more pictures and a wonderful lunch. My dad has a great camera and I love taking pictures with it because the quality is so much better. That equals 214 pictures taken over Easter weekend. I know I've posted a lot but not that many :)

Bunny Baby

Here's Noah opening his new book The Jesus Storybook Bible-
I highly recommend it as it is based on the Bible but tells it in more of a story form. Noah keeps asking for me to read more.
