We set out on an 11 day summer trip on Sunday, June 21st. Our first stop was Detroit, MI but obviously we could not drive straight there with the kids. So we planned a pit stop in Memphis to break up the drive the first day. We went to the Mud Island River Park. It was pretty neat but awfully HOT. We all had a great time!

After this we enjoyed dinner at Jim N Nick's BBQ then drove all the way to just south of Louisville, KY. Nathan drove until about 1 am- we thought it would be best to drive as much as we could while the kids were asleep. It was a great start to our trip!
