Christmas Afternoon at Mimi & Grandpa's

After Nathan got a little sleep and the kids played with their new toys, we drove over to Mimi & Grandpa's house for Christmas dinner with my side of the family. Note: There are a lot of pictures in this post!

Ava sat here and not only cooperated with pictures, but also sang several songs for me while I videotaped! It was precious.

Poor Nathan had worked all night the night before and fell asleep on the couch with Jetta sleeping on his feet. We had a long photoshoot in the same room and he never even woke up!

My Grandmother Nona and my Mom, two of my favorite ladies!

Mom made this really yummy white wedding cake with white chocolate icing for Christmas and I asked if we could sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Here's Noah blowing out the candle since Ava had already attempted to do so unsuccessfully!

Noah and Ava with their very special Great-Grandmother Nona! They love her so much and I know the feeling is reciprocal!

Christmas Day picture with my sweet babies

Nona and Noah getting ready to open presents. I love this picture of the two of them.

Ava wearing her new chef's hat and apron while opening her new sweet tea set from Mimi & Grandpa. She looks so cute in this and I know she will have fun wearing it while playing in her new kitchen from Santa.

So Miss Ava, who never wants to cooperate with pictures, was Miss Photogenic on Christmas Day! She kept trying to get in the pictures even when we didn't want her to!

4 generations!

Thanks for all the wonderful gifts and a delicious meal Mimi & Grandpa! We enjoyed spending such a special day with you!

*Grandpa is not pictured as he was sick and not feeling well*

Christmas Eve with Nonnie & Pop

Lydia painting her new bird house and Noah painting his new train!

Here's Pop with his new Russian WWII rifle we gave him for Christmas to add to his collection.

Ava showing off some of her Christmas loot. Thanks for the converse shoes, Luisa! Thanks Nancy & Claire for the cute hat & gloves! Ava wore this ensemble for at least 2 hours!

Noah holding one the Christmas gifts from Uncle Jason- it's a framed train picture from the 1940s. Noah absolutely loves it and said, "I think I'm gonna cry; this is the nicest gift I've ever had." Thanks Jason for such a special gift!

Cousins- They posed themselves for this impromptu picture!

Thanks for all the great gifts and the wonderful meal Nonnie & Pop. We had a wonderful time celebrating with all of our family yesterday! We love you!

Baking Sweets with my Sweet

Noah and I spent the afternoon making goodies while Ava was sleeping.

Here's Noah helping with the Buckeyes

Decorating cookies for Santa

Ava decided she would be our taste tester. I think she likes the buckeyes, don't you?

What a mess!

Bellingrath Gardens

It has become a tradition to see the Christmas lights at Bellingrath Gardens every year. We love Christmas lights and this always helps us get into the Christmas spirit. The kids always love to see all the lights and this year Ava really enjoyed it. We went with Mimi, Grandpa, John and Kayla but met up with the Gills about halfway through.

I love this picture!

I took this one for Noah but really like the reflection in the water

Chuck E. Cheese

Just a couple of snapshots from a birthday party we went to today at Chuck E Cheese.

So far this is the only picture I have of Noah & Ava in their matching Christmas shirts that I made them. Don't you think I should try to get one in a better location- like maybe in front of the Christmas tree? :)
